This striking printed cotton textile dates to the mid-20th century (1940–1970). Measuring 23 inches by 20 inches (58 cm x 51 cm), the piece was recently discovered within a vintage collection in Scotland. It remains in excellent condition, with the fabric cut on three sides and a finished selvedge on the fourth.

The design is characterized by a bold, symmetrical abstract composition that suggests a European art experiment rather than a traditional ethnic textile. The central imagery features interlocking, heart-like scrolls in a dusty rose hue, surrounded by sharp geometric forms in cream and muted yellow. The entire field is densely filled with rhythmic, seed-like dots that create a vibrant, textured appearance. The composition is framed by a stylized green leaf-pattern border against a dark outer ground. The precision of the printing and the specific color palette of rose, avocado green, and ochre are highly representative of mid-century modern graphic sensibilities.
