This exceptional textile is a high-quality reproduction of a 17th-century Ottoman cover, produced in the last quarter of the 20th century (1975–2000). Originating from either the Balkans or India, regions with long traditions of Ottoman-influenced needlework, the piece measures 47 inches by 47 inches (119 cm x 119 cm). The design is executed using precise hand-machine chain-stitch embroidery on a neutral cotton background.

The composition follows the classical Ottoman aesthetic, featuring a large central floral rosette flanked by four smaller rosettes in the corners. The field is filled with scrolling vines, serrated leaves, and stylized tulips and carnations—motifs synonymous with the "Golden Age" of Ottoman art. The color palette is rich and earthy, utilizing shades of deep indigo, rust-red, ochre, and olive green to recreate the appearance of natural-dyed silk. While there is some light staining on the cotton background, the embroidery itself is vibrant, and the textile remains in very good condition overall.
