Finely-worked silk, silver and gold metal threads on hand-spun and woven linen. Perhaps this textile was once part of a yaglik - the textile is edged with what looks to be late 19th century machine-made metallic-lace-type border, so it is impossible to ascertain whether the fours sides are selvedged or not. The backing consists of a light olive-coloured silk material. Excellent condition with just a few stray threads. 6" x 6"
