This light, soft-silk haori utilizes refined hand-painting techniques to create a serene botanical narrative. The garment is rendered on a saturated plum-purple silk ground, which provides a deep architectural field for its delicate surface decoration.

The focal point is a central composition of yuzen-painted chrysanthemums (kiku), which appear to grow from a stylized bamboo-wattle fence. The blossoms are rendered in a soft palette of cream and pale ochre, with fine line-work detailing the thin, radiating petals. A ethereal, misty horizontal band in lavender-grey floats behind the flowers, adding a sense of atmospheric depth to the silk.

It remains in very good condition, measuring 49 inches (124 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and standing at 39 inches (99 cm) in height.
