Measuring 22 inches by 9.5 inches (56 cm x 24 cm), the piece is centered on a shimmering cream satin brocade ground. The surface is densely adorned with a rhythmic pattern of scrolling acanthus-like leaves and pink floral sprigs, woven with a combination of colored silks and metallic threads that provide a varied, lustrous finish.

The panel is framed by a 1" edging that utilizes an uncommon braiding and couching technique, creating a dark, textured perimeter that defines the light-colored field. In a striking reversal of the front's airy palette, the piece is backed with a luxurious dark olive green silk or satin, providing a weighted and unique tonal contrast.
