This delicate rectangular panel, originating from Western Europe during the second half of the 19th century (1850–1900), is a fine example of late Victorian decorative weaving. Measuring approximately 15 inches by 8.5 inches (38 cm x 22 cm), the textile is crafted from a cream satin brocade ground featuring a dense lattice of scrolling vines and small floral sprigs in shades of copper, gold, and sage green.

The piece features a subtle integration of metallic threads within the woven motifs, providing a faint, intermittent luster. It is finished with a narrow edging laced with metallic thread, which provides a textured, dark perimeter to the light-colored fabric. Uniquely, the panel is backed with a hand-woven baby blue linen fabric, which gives the piece a remarkably soft, fluid hand and a distinctive tonal contrast. While the structural integrity is good, some staining is visible on the light satin ground, consistent with its age and history.
