Item Details
Late Meiji (1880-1912)
A plain silk miyamairi kimono used for christening a baby girl at a Shinto ceremony, featuring sume e and painted depictions of auspicious cranes. The silk is relatively thick for this type of garment, and there is a blank white medallion where a family crest would go, so this garment is evidently from old warehouse stock that never had an owner. Very good condition, with a few patinas. 33" from sleeve-end to sleeve-end x 42" height.
