Japan Mid to late Meiji era (1870-1911) $2,500.00 This is the wonderful inner garment of a kasane set of two (1890a is the outer of this set). This particular style is referred to as "dounuki", in this case featuring - besides the yuzen-dyed bamboo on the black portion - dreamlike ogres and dancers from "otsue" Japanese folktales on a dark blue background.
