Western Europe Late 19th century (1880-1900) $100.00 The design on top of this textile is of stylised flowers and leaves, extremely finely embroidered in silks in shades of pinks, creams, pales greens and tans. Each flower has a thickly padded part which is covered with metallic thread, probably originally gold, is more of a dark silvery colour. Other than some very slight wear to these metallic padded areas, the piece is in good condition. Three of the four sides are selvedged; one side is cut. 10" x 24". 1275Contact Us About This Item: |
