Japan 1930-1940 $200.00 "Pre-WWII silk in a deep shade of regal purple. The asa (hemp leaf) pattern is done in white and a melonish pink shade. Because this is quite an old shibori, the fabric is lighter in weight than the contemporary or late vintage ones. The silk is luminous even after all of these years and has an excellent drape.
